Families with children that are living on a limited income and facing or experiencing homelessness encounter challenges because

  • It’s hard to balance employment and childcare responsibilities during difficult times
  • It’s hard to find an affordable home
  • There are so many hoops to go through to get services
  • Putting money into the bank to achieve greater financial stability can be difficult

Your participation as a tournament sponsor or as a team participant will provide resources so Family Promise of Grayson County can continue to help families navigate these challenges and ensure they have the skills and resources to build a better future for their children in a stable home.
Become a Cornhole Tournament Sponsor

We hope you will consider becoming a Tournament Sponsor and support the Family Promise mission.  There are five sponsorship levels available:

  • King Pillow Sponsor - $5,000
  • Queen Pillow Sponsor - $2,500
  • Standard Pillow Sponsor - $1,000
  • Throw Pillow Sponsor - $500
  • Travel Pillow Sponsor - $300

Register a Team for the Tournament

We hope you will consider forming a team to participate in the 2023 Pitching Pillows Cornhole Tournament. Teams will be registered until the bracket is full. This tournament is open to children and adults of all ages. The deadline to register a team is September 11, 2022. Each team consists of 2 members.

Team Entry Fee: There is a $40 registration fee for each team. 

Tournament Start Time: 10 AM

Tournament Type: Double Elimination - Teams are matched-up in a bracket format and any team that loses two games is eliminated. The winning teams continue to play until a winner is crowned. 

Prize Award:  This is a benefit tournament.  That means that 25% of the team entry fees will be awarded to the winning team. The remainder of the entry fees will go to Family Promise of Grayson County. Minimum prize for the winning team will be $200 ($100/person). 

Team Fundraising: As a fundraising tournament, we want to encourage teams to help raise funds beyond the entry fee to help support the mission of Family Promise. A team will be awarded an extra pillow (in addition to the standard 4 pillows) to be used during the tournament for every $500 raised for Family Promise.
