BECOME A HOST SITE

HELP US END CHILD HOMELESSNESS

Family Promise of Grayson County is dedicated to ending child homelessness through the support from donors and church partner congregations. Our mission relies on a partnership of congregations and volunteers to provide support to local families facing homelessness. Host sites play a crucial role in providing lodging, meals, and hospitality to families in need, offering them a safe and comfortable environment.

JOIN OUR HOST CONGREGATIONS

Local houses of worship are the backbone of our mission, providing temporary overnight lodging in otherwise unused spaces within their buildings. A host congregation team of volunteers is involved in various activities such as cooking and hosting dinner, spending time with families, coordinating children's activities, and donating necessary supplies for the hosting week.

MAKE A MANAGEABLE COMMITMENT

Our host congregations make a manageable commitment by hosting families for just one week, four times a year. Each congregation hosts a limited number of families, ensuring that the commitment is feasible for everyone involved. Family Promise provides transportation for families to and from the host facilities. We also vet program participants through background checks and screenings.

RECOGNIZING OUR DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS!

We are grateful for the ongoing support from our dedicated Host and Support Congregations. Their commitment and generosity make a significant impact on the lives of the families we serve.
