Leigh Walker
Executive Director
With over four decades of social work experience, Leigh is the inaugural Executive Director of Family Promise of Grayson County, where she and a host of dynamic volunteers are putting an end to family homelessness, because every child deserves a home. In her free time, Leigh enjoys reading, camping, hiking, working puzzles, playing games, and birdwatching. She is a member of Grace United Methodist church, where she sings in the choir and serves on the church council.

Tara Hickerson
Resource Advocate (HOPE Program)
Tara leads the HOPE (Housing, Opportunities to Prevent Evictions) Program efficiently and compassionately. She assists families (with minor children) with resources such as rent and utilities to keep families in their own homes. She provides case management and budgeting skills.

Kristi Shilling
Resource Advocate (Rotation Program)
Kristi leads the Rotation Program, arranging for families (with minor children) to stay in local congregations for 1-2 weeks at a time until the guests can get back on their feet. She also assists families in the Transitional Program. Kristi is married with three children and enjoys nature and all types of crafts.
